Asda Foundation donates £30,000 to sports club that's an 'important community hub'

Congratulations to Tattyreagh Gaelic Athletic Association Club who received a donation of £30,000 from the Asda Foundation to improve their facilities for the benefit of people in the local community.

Our Omagh store's community champion Colleen Heaney and general store manager Niall Keyes called in at the club to present the cheque, which will help pay for upgrades to health and fitness facilities at their training ground. Read more

Our much-loved colleague Joan Ferry started working at our South Woodham Ferrers store for a six-week spell one Christmas – and 40 years later she's still working with us!

An "amazing" charity providing childcare services to families in Antrim has received a donation of £12,890 from the Asda Foundation to enable it to develop its services.

Inspirational Alex and her sisters raise £6,200 for Tickled Pink by tackling Great North Run

A huge well done to our inspirational colleague Alex Newbould and her sisters Jo and Lou who've raised a grand total of £6,262 for our Tickled Pink breast cancer charity appeal.

It's a cause that's very close to their hearts, as the sisters have a genetic predisposition to cancer. Alex was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2017 at the age of 27, just two weeks after Lou was diagnosed with cancer – and two years after Jo's diagnosis. Read more
