Special treat for the Asda customer who devotes her life to helping others

Asda customer Carol Shooter loves to have a chat with our Watford store colleagues on her regular shopping trips – so when she said how much she’d love to have a go on the tills they were only too happy to make her wish come true.

Carol, who's 71, is a widow and although semi-retired, is a carer for a friend. Carol's devoted her life to helping others – she's been a foster mother, trained as a nurse, and was a carer for the elderly in the community. Read more

Happy Valentine's Day to the couple who found love working at Asda

Happy Valentine's Day! Our colleagues Bryan and Debbie King have been together for more than 30 years ... after meeting at Asda.

Bryan and Debbie went to the same school in Bury St Edmunds, and properly met when they got jobs at our store in the town. They became a couple in 1986 and got married in 1989 before moving to Lincolnshire a year later and transferring to our Boston store. Love is in the air as couples celebrate Valentine's Day in our stores

Nathaniel and Doreen Crookes are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary this year – so colleagues at our Cookstown store arranged a special Valentine's Day treat for them.

The store's community champion Janice Gibson, general store manager Peter Beckett and Nathaniel and Doreen's granddaughter Alex Hutchison, who also works at the store, presented them with flowers and chocolates. Read more
