I wish I could get a megaphone, stand up on the checkouts and shout about the message for women – and men – to regularly check themselves. I can't stress it enough.

Pudsey makes a surprise appearance at Oliver's birthday party

Colleagues at our Harwich store pulled out all the stops for seven-year-old Oliver Howe when he wrote to ask if Pudsey bear could make a special appearance at his birthday party.

Oliver loves everything about Pudsey and really looks forward to seeing him in the store in the weeks before BBC Children in Need. His letter was seen by Deirdre Scott from the store – and she was only too happy to help. As well as bringing Pudsey to the event she also presented Oliver with a bag full of Pudsey goodies. Jake is all smiles as colleagues track down his favourite top from George

Five-year-old Jake Law loves his top from George so much he wants to wear it all the time – so colleagues at our Milton Keynes store were determined to track down some larger versions for him when his mum Danni found out it had been discontinued and she couldn’t hold of a replacement.

Jake has non-verbal autism, which means he likes routine and familiarity, so Danni put out an appeal on Facebook to see if anyone had a spare top. Read more

Two award nominations for 'inspirational figure' Christine's community work

We're very proud of our Bolton store’s community champion Christine Baldwin who’s been nominated for two awards and is going to be featured in a new book celebrating 100 inspirational women from North West England.
