Corby colleague Ashleigh receives Royal Humane Society award for saving man's life

Everyone at our Corby store is so proud of our colleague Ashleigh Smith who's been presented with an award from the Royal Humane Society for helping to save a man's life.

Ashleigh, who's security section leader at our Corby store, had to twice use a defibrillator on John Roe to get his heart started. Read more

Colleagues show their support at Pride events across the UK

We're proud to be supporting Pride events across the country this summer – and we're flying the flag for inclusivity by decorating our home office in Leeds city centre.

To celebrate Leeds Pride we're lighting up our home office in the colours of the rainbow, as well as decorating Asda signs in the city with the Pride flag. Colleagues from the office and our stores across Leeds will be at Leeds Pride this weekend, providing a series of stands and games. Read more

Max goes from strength to strength after starting work at Asda Southgate Circus

Our fantastic colleague Max Ferreira has really grown in confidence since he started working at our Southgate Circus store – and now he's been named an "ambassador for autism" by a local charity that helps young people with learning disabilities.

Max, who's 23, started work at our store in the chilled department just under a year ago – and he's enjoying himself so much he's now working an extra day per week. Read more

Four children, four adults, one dog and one Asda delivery van go camping to Loch Ness

There was no room in the cars for food when the Coudbrugh and Barnes families travelled from Glasgow for a camping holiday at Loch Ness – so Ash Raine from our Inverness store delivered a monster order of supplies to their tents!

Primary school teacher Carol Coudbrugh said: “When we stuffed everyone and everything into the cars there was no room for food. We ordered a delivery from Asda because it’s our local shop. We just ordered essentials – like breakfast cereals, pasta and wine for the mums! – and three or four meals to tide us over until until we could get to a local shop." Read more

Jake gains in confidence thanks to a year-long placement at Asda Wythenshawe

Colleagues at our Wythenshawe store work with a nearby specialist support school to help young adults like Jake Knox learn the skills they need for their working lives.

Jake, who's 18, has just completed a year-long school placement at the store arranged with his school, Piper Hill Specialist Support School. He says he's much more confident now, as well as having developed skills which prepared him to start an internship at Wythenshawe Hospital. Read more
