£200 grant to history group

It was great to visit the historical research group of Sittingbourne  to present a cheque for £200. The group meet monthly and hold talks about history of  the town and Kent in general. The money will be used to electronically archive  artefacts and information about Siittingbourne's history

Volunteering fun with Sheppey Blind Club

I had a brilliant afternoon out volunteering with Sheppey Blind Club on their annual trip to Merriment Gardens where we had afternoon tea. The sun shone and there were some great memories to be had.

Grant to the tune of £200 for music group 

It was great to present a cheque for £200 from our green tokens scheme Encore Sittingbourne Music Group.The group often visits our store at Christmas to play carols to our customers.Pictured with me is Janine Hall, chair of the group; Milly, a young member, and store manager Mark Stickens.

Green token win for country park

Congratulations to Friends of Milton Creek for receiving a cheque for £500 after coming first in our Sittingbourne store's latest Green Token Giving customer vote.The store's community champion Claire Fosbeary called in to see the group and said: "Thanks to a £500 donation from our green token scheme, a theatrical evening is to be put on for the community at Milton Creek Country Park."
