'Incredible' assistance dog Paddy helps Jill with her weekly shop at Asda Golborne

Jill Doran has been shopping at our Golborne store since she was a child – she’s been friends with some of our colleagues since she was at school – and now they’re supporting her as she trains her assistance dog Paddy to help her with her shopping.

Thirteen-year-old Melissa Taylor-Grounsell loves our Isle of Wight store so much that she says she'd like to work on the pizza counter when she's older – so she had a whale of a time when colleagues arranged for her to join the team for a day.

Her mum Sarah has worked on the checkouts at the store since it opened, and says Melissa, who has ADHD and dyspraxia, talks about Asda all the time. Read more

Britain's oldest identical twins love their friendly welcome at Asda Great Bridge

Lil Cox and Doris Hobday – Britain’s oldest identical twins – love doing their weekly shop at our Great Bridge store in Tipton, and our colleagues there say "they are the loveliest ladies you will ever meet".

The 95-year-old sisters say they enjoy chatting to everyone as they go round the store, and always look forward to the highlight at the end – a hot chocolate and a bacon butty in the cafe. Read more
