Millie supports her daughter through chemo and raises £2,000 by shaving off her hair

Everyone at our Isle of Wight store is so proud of their colleague Millie Lloyd, who shaved her head for charity as part of the support she’s been giving her 17-year-old daughter Lorna through chemotherapy for ovarian cancer.

Millie raised £2,000 for the Little Princess Trust, which makes wigs for children with cancer. Read more

Bowled over with local group

I went to visit a local group that I volunteer with today, Cowes short mat bowling group. They are such a lovely welcoming group who meet up twice a week to play bowls. For a lot of them it is a lifeline to social interaction. I help with refreshments and sit and chat, they even got me bowling today and I managed to keep the bowl on the mat!

Bag pack for local primary school

We welcomed Barton Primary School into store to fundraise for a new playground climbing frame by bag packing. They loved talking to customers and gained lots of confidence. It was lovely to have a group of polite smiley children in store. For their efforts they raised a fabulous £285.

Healthy eating at local primary school

We made Fruit Kebabs at Arreton Primary School! It was great to see the children trying all the fruits and even converting some non fruit eating children to sample a strawberry and pineapple. It's so important to let the children explore new tastes, they surprise themselves sometimes that they actually like things.
