Celebrating seven years of support for the Befriending scheme

Our Lowestoft store's community champion Bev Shipp is a passionate supporter of the Befriending scheme – a local group providing friendship and learning opportunities for adults and combatting isolation among older people. She regularly helps the group and has secured a number of grants from our charitable arm the Asda Foundation over the last few years. When she last called to see the group, Bev realised she's now been working with them for seven years. She said: "Ever since the role of the community champion was introduced I've volunteered with the Befriending scheme, helped them secure funding, joined them on outings and volunteered most Fridays at the hub. I throughly love the partnership I have made with the group."https://www.facebook.com/thebefriendingschemelowestoft/
