Asda Hyde is on Water Street, opposite the back of the Town Hall in Hyde (the front entrance to the Town Hall is on Market Street). From the M60 Exit 24 towards Denton, Hyde, Sheffield, take the M67 to junction 3, turn left onto Clarke Way A627, turn left onto Manchester Road A57, turn right onto Water Street. Asda is on your right. Parent/Child and Disabled parking is available immediately at the store entrance.

Army veteran Sash is proud to support Help for Heroes with Asda

Our colleague Sash Hill served as a corporal in the Army in Afghanistan – and is now a passionate supporter of Help for Heroes and the work they do for injured servicemen and women.

He'll be joining volunteers Liz and John Baker to raise money for the charity at our Fulwood store in Preston this weekend – like colleagues at nearly 300 of our stores across the country. Read more

Asda Newport hive off spare sugar to help bees flourish on the Isle of Wight

Colleagues from our Newport store on the Isle of Wight have been helping the island's bee population by collecting waste sugar from the store and donating it to local beekeepers.

Community champion Clare Jones and store manager Kenny Farrell visited the Isle of Wight Beekeepers Association to drop off buckets of sugar which colleagues collect after it spills from sugar packets either en route to the store or on the shop floor. Read more

Sports Personality award winner Denise loves her new Asda community role

I love working for Asda, and my new role is amazing. I never realised what a difference Asda makes in the community until recently, and to be part of that makes me feel so proud.

When I won the Sports Personality of the Year Unsung Hero award last December, I'd worked in the Lutterworth depot for 17 years and decided to look for a more suitable role in Asda. I didn't even know Asda employed community champions, so when I found out more about the role I thought it would be ideal for someone like me who is so community minded – and I was right. Read more

Our wonderful community champions are getting behind BBC Children in Need this month – hosting Pudsey's Teddy Bears Picnics with local primary schools and nurseries.

Mary Williams from our Wrexham store organised a picnic – and visit from Pudsey Bear – for children, parents and staff from St Mary's Pre School Playgroup, as well as games and a fundraising tombola and raffle. Read more
