Amazing Tickled Pink volunteer

I was absolutely thrilled and delighted to welcome Julie Brandom-Jones into the store to help fundraise for Tickled Pink. I first met her last year when she and another inspiring lady, Jan Poole, gave up their time to come in and collect funds for breast cancer charities. They'd both had a full mastectomy as they had breast cancer and had met originally as they both received treatment. Jan is coming in next Saturday to help as well.

Tickled Pink fundraising

We were delighted to welcome two amazing ladies back in to store for more fundraising activities. Julie Brandom Jones and Jan Poole both volunteered in store last year and they are back again this year to help with our fun and games. As always, they have been great fun to be with and I would like to say a huge thank you for their support in raising £366. A big thank you to our customers too – they too have been amazingly generous in supporting our Tickled Pink campaign.

Our inspirational colleague Sharon Noble brought together colleagues and the local community groups she volunteers with for a 24-hour marathon fundraiser at our Fareham store in support of Tickled Pink.

Sharon's a tireless supporter of our breast cancer campaign – a cause close to her heart after she was diagnosed with breast cancer herself nine years ago. Read more

Emma thanks Asda opticians who spotted life-threatening brain condition

She’d made several visits to the doctors and hospital with terrible head pain and, after three months with no diagnosis, she decided to go for an eye test to rule out needing glasses. Read more
