Local support group receive surprise Christmas grant

Bideford general store manager Rob Sansom presented Torrage Ageing Well group with a surprise Christmas grant of £5,500. The store's community champion Peter Wilcox said: "We gift wrapped the cheque and presented it to project manager Alison Marsden. "When Alison opened the cheque in front of an audience of over 60 people she was a little overwhelmed. Afterwards she said it was by far the largest donation they have ever received. It will make a huge difference to Torrage in the coming year - they support the health and wellbeing of older people in North Devon."
