Blood Bikes in Benton

Northumbria Blood Bikes came to Asda Benton to raise awareness and money for the charity. They raised £442 in just a couple of hours. Thank you as always to our generous customers for their support.

Dance Unlimited

Dance Unlimited came into store raise much-needed funds for their dance group. They managed to raise over £1,000 and were over the moon with the response they had from all  the customers. Thank you to everyone who supported them.

Wave of light for Teardrop

I joined my colleagues Michelle and Jackie to volunteer for Teardrop, who support bereaved families. It's a cause close to our hearts. Supporters walked a lit path around the Lady of Northumbria to her abdomen where they held a small vigil for everyone.  Then back to reflect and remember together, coffee & cake, some tissues and hugs.

Emma thanks Asda opticians who spotted life-threatening brain condition

Asda customer Emma Ward paid a special visit to our Hyde store to say a big thank you to our optician colleagues who spotted a serious brain condition that could have resulted in death or paralysis if it wasn’t diagnosed and treated.

She’d made several visits to the doctors and hospital with terrible head pain and, after three months with no diagnosis, she decided to go for an eye test to rule out needing glasses. Read more
