Green Token Giving winners delighted with cheque

Barrow & District Society for the Blind were delighted to receive their winning £500 cheque from Green Token Giving. Receiving the cheque is Joan, a client who attends various activities organised by the Society, including Thursday Club where the clients meet for a brew and a cake, a good chat and games of bingo. I volunteer with this group on a weekly basis as a bingo buddy.

Last year alone, with Asda Foundation grants, Green Token Giving and colleague and customer fundraising, we donated £40,338.17 from our store alone!

I love working with my wonderful colleagues and so many local charities, groups and good causes. I kept a diary of what I did for a week to give an idea of what the role of an Asda community champion involves: Read more

Mark, who's a wildlife enthusiast, got in touch and gave Tyree a book on birds that really inspired him. Mark's been finding more wildlife magazines and pictures to share with him – and Kellie says Tyree's getting so much joy from everything he’s learning. Read more
