Regular Asda Shirley customer Pat Baxter made an extra visit to the store this week – calling in to thank our colleague Dave Cherry for helping her after she had a nasty fall in the street.
Dave was first on the scene when Pat tripped over the kerb in Solihull town centre, badly cutting her nose. He helped her up, stemmed the bleeding with his T-shirt, called an ambulance, and stayed with her. Pat needed stitches in her nose and suffered a bruised wrist.
A passer-by who witnessed the accident posted about Dave’s kindness on Facebook – and the post received thousands of reactions and positive comments. Read more
