How to find us...

From the M62 jct 9 follow the signs to Warrington town centre. Passing Matalan and the Halliwell Jones Rugby Ground continue to the traffic lights. Continue under the rail bridge and on entering the traffic island take to 4th exit. Follow Midland Way and enter the main car park on your left. The store is on your right. From the M56 Jct 11 follow the A5060 into Warrington and then the A49 Mersey Street into the town centre. The Cockhedge Centre is on your left-hand side with car park access before the island.

Asda Warrington Community Champion Liz Cotterill and her colleague Lysney presented a cheque for £956.30 to eight-year-old player Joe, who called in at the store with his mum Antonia.

Well done to our Warrington area Community Champions who teamed up to promote their roles and the Asda Foundation on a local radio station.

Liz Cotterill from Warrington, Cathy Robinson from Westbrook and Beky Wakefield from Birchwood went along to Radio Warrington and were interviewed about everything relating to Asda’s work in the community.

They were on the air during the station’s Thursday afternoon slot and even answered questions from listeners about Asda’s community work.

Local charity receives Asda Foundation donation

Well done to The Bam Project who received a £200 Asda Foundation donation. They are a charity raising funds to purchase inclusive play equipment for our local parks aiming to get all children together using play. Thanks to the Asda Foundation they will be able to run a local funday and raise more funds. The charity was set up in memory of the family's son Brandon.

Local group were in-store bag packing

#TALE, The Adam Lewis Effect came in store to bag pack for our customers today. TALE helps fund defibrillators in our town as well as raising awareness of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome including holding clinics to test young people 14-24yrs for heart defects so they can go get checked out! The fab lot raised £892! Well done!

Ten-year-old Leon fell in love with our Lovable Huggable Panda when he saw it in our Hunts Cross store in Liverpool – but his mum said he couldn’t have it until her next payday.

Colleagues reuniting Leon with Pandy

He found an empty cardboard box, popped the panda inside it and quietly wrote a message on the box: “My mum didn’t have enough money to buy me Pandy so she’s buying me Pandy on 15th June so please don’t buy him as it will make me cry. Thank you so much from Hopeful Future Owner.”

Our colleagues at the store were so moved when section leader David Bateman found the message they clubbed together to buy Pandy – and put out an appeal on Facebook to track down his “future owner”.

Lots of people shared David’s appeal, including the Liverpool Echo – and Leon’s mum Debbie Ashworth spotted their post when she was flicking through her Facebook feed.

She took Leon back into the store – and there were smiles all round when Pandy was handed over.
