Asda Warrington’s Community Champion Liz Cotterill has been making some very special deliveries in the run up to Mother’s Day.

Liz with knitted hearts

She delivered 900 handmade hearts to nine neonatal units in Cheshire and Merseyside to give to mums whose babies were in hospital over Mother’s Day.

The hearts were knitted and crocheted by a team of big-hearted volunteers led by Liz as part of a national campaign by neonatal charity BLISS. The volunteers included 30 Asda colleagues as well as customers, friends, family and other supporters from the local community.
