We’ve got fab creepy cakes – including our Boo! The Ghost Cake which is bursting with fruity jam and tasty vanilla frosting filling for £5, and our Petrifying Pumpkin Smash Cake which is stuffed with spooky surprises for £10.

Our Tonypandy store’s Community Champion Karen Thomas laid on a special behind-the-scenes tour for a group of local school children.

The children had a go on the tills

Three classes from Penrhys Primary School visited the store and took a look behind the scenes.

Karen said: “When I found out the school were coming in for a visit I rang them to see if I could help and give them a full tour of the store. They were so excited that they could do this.”

Little Teddy looks brilliant in the new dinosaur dressing gown his mum and nanny bought him from our Uttoxeter store.

Teddy’s mum Holly shared some very cute photos on her Instagram page of her little dinosaur in his new favourite piece of clothing.

Holly said: “He is totally obsessed with it, moans when his hood falls down, and couldn’t wait to get it on this morning.”

Asda customer Jen Goodhand took to Facebook to praise one of our colleagues for the professional way she helped her son Oscar when he went into a panic on a trip to our Redditch store.

Jen said Emma Sanders “showed a level of care and understanding that we rarely see outside of family”.

Ten-year-old Oscar, who’s on the autistic spectrum, became very distressed after seeing a giant Halloween skeleton at the front of the store. Emma, who’s 23 and works in the George department, came to his aid and asked him what kind of things he liked.

When he said he was a fan of Star Wars she picked up a pair of Star Wars pyjamas and asked him to talk her through the different characters – and Oscar started to calm down.
