Welcome to Asda Stowmarket

Sarah Gardiner Hello, my name is Sarah Gardiner and I am the General Store Manager at Asda Stowmarket. We have everything you need for your full shop in store. Our Home Shopping and Grocery Click & Collect services give you access to the full Asda range, either delivered direct to your door or into store at a time that’s convenient to you. My colleagues and I focus on delivering a great shopping experience for every customer with outstanding prices, great quality and all served with that unique Asda personality. If you need to contact us, please use the details on the left.

A big well done to our Bury St Edmunds store’s fab Community Champion Michelle Frost who’s won an award for her work in the local area.

Michelle, right, with her award - Jill and Councillor Dave Muller are also pictured

Michelle does loads of great work with the local community, both in her Asda role and in her spare time. Last year Michelle (pictured above right) was one of our community elves who delivered Christmas hampers to a local dementia support group, while some of her other community work included helping raise more than £5,000 for a hospice and securing an Asda Foundation grant to make sailing more accessible.

Outside of her Asda role, Michelle has spent her last two Christmas Days volunteering at Stowmarket United Reform Church which provides meals and entertainment for people who may not otherwise enjoy a proper Christmas dinner.

Cheque for Stowmarket Carnival

Community Champion Chantal Ellis presented a £500 cheque from the Asda Foundation to Stowmarket Carnival. The money was used to provide face painting and craft activities for everyone who attended the carnival.

Our large £1 Halloween pumpkins – which are in stores now – have been named best looking, best for carving and best value for money in a supermarket comparison by the Mirror.

Jack Skellington

And to encourage you to discover for yourself, we’re giving you the chance to win £50 if you share a photo of your creatively carved pumpkin … like this frightfully good Pumpkin King carved by 13-year-old Faith.

Faith’s aunt Lisa bought one large and one 50p medium pumpkin at her local Asda Living in Oldham – as well as two pumpkin carving kits, which are just £1 each.

Asda customer Jen Goodhand took to Facebook to praise one of our colleagues for the professional way she helped her son Oscar when he went into a panic on a trip to our Redditch store.

Jen, Oscar and Emma

Jen said Emma Sanders “showed a level of care and understanding that we rarely see outside of family”.

Ten-year-old Oscar, who’s on the autistic spectrum, became very distressed after seeing a giant Halloween skeleton at the front of the store. Emma, who’s 23 and works in the George department, came to his aid and asked him what kind of things he liked.

When he said he was a fan of Star Wars she picked up a pair of Star Wars pyjamas and asked him to talk her through the different characters – and Oscar started to calm down.

A huge well done to the 200 colleagues from our 28 stores across Manchester who teamed up for an epic 100-mile walking relay to raise money for Tickled Pink.

The team approach the finishing line at Rivington Pike

The four-day relay, which took in every one of the stores on route, was the idea of Asda Harpurhey’s General Store Manager Andy Rae as a way of everyone coming together to mark our breast cancer charity campaign’s 20th anniversary.
