Colleagues and customers at Asda Mount Pleasant in Hull have been getting on their bikes in memory of a little girl, Thea, who was born with a rare genetic disorder.
Thea had MPS I Hurler syndrome that affects 10 in a million children. Very sadly Thea died in May last year aged just nine months. Since then her family have set up Thea’s Trust to raise awareness of the condition and to help fund much-needed research.
Over the August bank holiday weekend Asda colleagues held a sponsored cycle on static bikes in store to raise money for Thea’s Trust.Read more
