We’re working with Foundation Scotland to support the local community with our new Carrier Bag Community Grants.

Carrier bag charges

Stores in Scotland are now required to charge 5p per single-use carrier bag and we want to use this money to support good causes across the region.

We have grants of up to £2000 available for local projects that can help meet a wide range of costs for community groups, including general running costs, training, equipment, materials and even local community activities and events.

We’ve launched a new range of locally produced Scottish ciders with five delicious flavours to choose from – rolling out across 56 of our Scottish stores.

Thistly Cross cider

Original, Traditional, Real Strawberry, Real Ginger and Whisky Cask will all be stocked in stores from this month.

Thistly Cross is made in East Scotland on a farm that has been run by the same family for four generations. The company has doubled in size over the last year thanks to a surge in sales and employs 14 staff at its East Lothian site.

Anneka's creation

Anneka, who runs a craft business from home, created this stunning dress from our Hare duvet set for a friend who chose the print for a birthday outing – and she’s even making a matching one for her friend’s daughter.

Ellibel's

“They play with it lots throughout the day, whether that’s cutting up the fruit or making pretend cups of tea,” says Katie who is an English teacher. “We know they mean business when they put their aprons on and then everyone has to be involved.”
