Our Butcher’s Selection Chicken in a Bag is just the thing if you fancy a roast dinner but don’t have the time to cook it from scratch. It’s been hugely popular since we launched it in 2013 – and we’re delighted it’s just been named Product of the Year in the food category.

Chicken in a bag

The winners of Product of the Year are voted for by a panel of over 10,175 consumers carried out by TNS – these are just some of the comments from them:

“Simple to follow instructions resulting in a tasty, nutritious, easily-managed meal”

“Easy to cook, no fuss, no mess.”

Asda Ace Sue, who’s worked for Asda for eight and a half years, shaved off her flowing hair just days before undergoing a major operation.

Intrigued, the 18-year-old student opened it and found a five pound note inside plus a simple handwritten message: “Pass on another random act of kindness”.
