Asda Darlington is on Whinbush Way. If you are heading out of Darlington toward Middlesbrough and the A66 along Whinfield Road, turn left at the Traffic lights onto Whinbush Way. Asda is then the first turning on the right. Parent/Child and Disabled parking is available immediately outside the store entrance.

We’re really proud of our Darlington colleague Matt Crossen who’s been selected for Team GB’s Paralympic football team.

Delivery driver Matt heads to Rio next month and we’re wishing him and the team all the very best.

Matt had a stroke in 2013 when he was an extremely fit 23-year-old, working as a consultant at a gym and playing semi-professional football for Marske United. The stroke affected his speech and mobility, but after six days in hospital and several months of rehab he was back playing football.

Little Leo loved the cake his mum picked to celebrate his third birthday – a giant version of his favourite biscuit!

Mum Laura, from Stourbridge, shared this picture of Leo on Instagram and said his reaction to the cake made her day. Leo has autism and as a result Laura and fiance Ashley had to plan his special day very carefully.

She says he is obsessed with Jammie Dodgers – so when his sister Gabby found the cake on an Asda shopping trip a couple of months ago they bought it and saved it for his big day.

To celebrate the return of our wonderful gold medal winning athletes from Rio, we commissioned a food artist to recreate some of the team’s best moments using ‘golden’ Asda products.

Talented Welsh food artist Nathan Wyburn used Asda’s Gold Roast Coffee, Asda’s golden syrup, golden breakfast biscuits, golden oats, golden cereal and golden vegetable rice to create five pieces of edible art.
