Asda Darlington is on Whinbush Way. If you are heading out of Darlington toward Middlesbrough and the A66 along Whinfield Road, turn left at the Traffic lights onto Whinbush Way. Asda is then the first turning on the right. Parent/Child and Disabled parking is available immediately outside the store entrance.

Scouts raising money for camping equipment by bag packing

We welcomed 5th Darlington Scout Group from St.Mary's in Cockerton into store – one of the oldest scout groups in the town. They were bag packing for our customers to raise funds for more camping equipment so that all their members can take part in future adventures.

Fruit tasting at St Mark's Pre-School

Community Champion Louise Gibson went to St Mark's Pre-School to teach pupils about fruit and vegetables. Children tried different fruit and vegetables and learned how fruit can be made in to juice and dried fruit. Louise said: "Most of the children tried something they had never had before and the sharon fruit and prunes seemed to the most popular!"

Table Tennis club bag pack at Asda Darlington

Callum, Jamie, Nile, Katie, Thomas and Kev from Darlington Table Tennis Academy came to Asda Darlington to bag pack for customers. The money they raised will help the club purchase more equipment for beginners to try the sport.

When we posted on Facebook about customer Alfie’s nan Pat, who Alfie says looks like our Mrs Claus gnome, loads of people shared pics they’d taken of our gnomes in store.

Little Matilda loves hippos – so her mum Michelle got in touch with us to say how excited she was to see our new Holly the Hippo Christmas chocolate.

We posted about our new range of Christmas character chocolates on Facebook – and Michelle commented to say that three-year-old Matilda would definitely be wanting her own Holly Hippo as she’s mad about them. So we sent Matilda a gift card so she could pick one up at her local Parkgate Shirley store.
