Welcome to Asda Cookstown

Children from Holy Trinity Nursery were treated to a special Easter craft workshop by our Cookstown store’s Community Champion Janice Gibson.

Janice with the class

Janice led a range of Easter-themed activities including egg painting and drawing Easter pictures, and each child was given a chocolate egg to take home.

Janice said: "It was fantastic to surprise the children with Easter fun and games from Asda. It’s so important to encourage creativity in young people – and it was great to see their interpretation of Easter through arts and crafts.

When Raymond Semple first visited our Larne store four years ago he asked one of our colleagues for a little help as he’s registered blind.

He now does his weekly shop there – and colleagues like Penny Lindsay love having a laugh and a chat with him as they take him round the store finding the things he needs.

Raymond, who’s 64, said: “They are very good with me, very helpful, and what they do is so important for me as I live on my own in quite a rural location.”

Gaynor with the team

Gaynor from our St Helens store helps volunteers at a shop that raises money for Willowbrook Hospice every week, which she says is “a wonderful support service for people in the local area”.
