The kittens

These four little kittens, born under a storage container in the car park of Asda Living Lincoln, “would not have survived” without the help of colleagues at the store. Happily all the kittens have new homes to go to after being rescued by colleagues at the Tritton Road store – including George, the only boy cat, who was named after our clothing range!

At Asda Harpurhey we were all upset to hear about the recent fire at the nearby Manchester Dogs Home. Colleagues donated blankets and towels shortly after the fire broke out to try to help the surviving dogs.

All our Manchester stores are collecting at checkouts for the Dogs Home following the fire and colleagues at Harpurhey are organising a bag pack this weekend to raise money.

Lee Haken, store manager at Asda Harpurhey, said: “The store and the whole community are really upset by the events. Obviously we wanted to do as much as we could to help and we’ll continue to work with the dogs’ home to offer them the support they need.”
