Colleagues at Asda Carlisle are working closely with Jigsaw Hospice to revamp their children’s garden.
The Hospice’s latest project is to create a “living fence” made from upcycled pallets that can hold potted plants and lights. So when the store’s Community Champion Niki Iveson was asked to find a volunteering opportunity for some of our regional managers she had just the job for them!
The team of 12 spent four hours painting some of the 150 pallets that will make up the finished fence. The brightly-coloured fence will hide the barbed wire that currently separates the garden from a neighbouring field.Read more and see more photos
