Community Life Champion Martin Bateman has appeared on TV to talk about the work he’s been doing to make Walsall a dementia-friendly community.

He was interviewed by the BBC to discuss a scheme to encourage shops and businesses in the area to take part in a programme to get their staff trained to look after customers with dementia.

Our St Matthews store in Walsall was the first to sign up to the programme and is now the centre of dementia practice, piloting new systems and ways of working that will be rolled out across other stores.

Asda customer Rebecca Nienayadlo was delighted to see our new Extra Special Pork and Crackling Sausage Balls in her local store – because she helped create them!

The 30-year-old mum from Gosport, Hampshire, was the overall winner in our Facebook competition last year when we asked our fans to invent new sausage flavours.

We’ve transformed a group of Beefeaters into a set of incredible miniatures – with the help of of our 3D model service!

Clive Stevens, a Messenger Sergeant Major of the Yeoman of the Guard, had a 3D model of himself made earlier this year – and his colleagues were so impressed with the result that they asked Asda to have their own created!

The Yeomen Warders, commonly known as Beefeaters, invited our 3D team to the Tower of London to scan all 15 of them in their full uniforms.

Colleagues at our Gorseinon store held an action-packed superhero day to help raise funds for nine-year-old Alan Gifford to get bionic hands.

Alan was born with a complex heart condition that meant at the age of just nine-days-old he had to have open heart surgery. By the time he was two and a half Alan had undergone over 40 heart operations.
